Day 6

Today we went to gompers charter middle school. We learned about there evolution from a poor violent school to a normal well funded school. We met the children and ate lunch with them. they were very nice. I think it is great what they did but I think it could still you use some improvement. But overall it was amazing. Before it changed it was a horrible place where people were afraid to go to school. Partly because often people would bring siblings to jump people. also because only honor students were treated well. Also they have student cages and they would lock up students for an hour or so until they calmed down. most of the time more than half of the rooms had no teachers. more than half of the rooms that had teachers in them had substitute teachers that substitute teachers the kids had never met. most children did not even go to school.
