Day 1

Today we had 2 guest speakers. One was from the horticulture department at the wild animal park. It was interesting to hear about how the fires effected the wild animal park. Could you imagine trying to save all those plants and animals. It was also interesting to learn how important plants are to the wild animal park. Next time I go there I am definitely going to pay more attention to the plants and how hard it must be to plant enough food for all those animals.
The second speaker was an expert on non-profits. To most people it was probably a surprise to hear that now less then 20 percent of non-profits money comes from the government(didnt quite surprise me with so many budget cuts because of the war). The majority of the money comes from wealthy individuals. We also learned a lot of other interesting facts about non profits.
